PRAY FOR PEACE IN UKRAINE
God of peace and justice,
we pray for the people of Ukraine today.
We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or peace,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Amen

S. HILDA’S PARISH PRAYER
Heavenly Father, you have chosen St Hilda’s, Cross Green
as the place where you encounter us in our daily lives.
In good times and bad, in the social deprivation, the antisocial behaviour
and the drugs here your Word is proclaimed, the Mass is celebrated
and your people, though poor, are united in a family of believers.
We thank you for the abundant blessings you have given to St Hilda’s
over many years of Christian witness,
and pray that we may continue to serve you in faithfulness and love.
Keep us open to our need of your love and fellowship.
In maintaining your Church as the Heartbeat of the Community
help us to work together to serve you and each other for the good of the Church,
for the people of Cross Green and for your greater glory.
